On Saturday, the team behind the TV anime adaptation of Yui Tamura's manga series "Yano-kun no Futsū no Hibi," known as "Yano-kun's Ordinary Days," released their second promotional video along with information about a new cast member. Additionally, they shared a preview of the show's ending theme song "Better Off" by iScream.
Konomi Kohara joins the cast as Okamoto, a mysterious girl who appears near Yano.

Image courtesy of Happinet The anime will first be shown on Nippon TV starting from September 30th at 11:35 PM JST which is equivalent to October 1st at 1:35 AM JST. Following this, new episodes will be broadcasted every Wednesday at 1:29 AM JST.

The comedy manga centers on Tsuyoshi Yano, the perennially unlucky high school boy, and Kiyoko Yoshida, the classmate who constantly worries for him. Yoshida sees Yano come into school injured, and Yoshida begins following Yano out of concern for him, observing his unlucky daily life, and resolving to support him.
In June 2021, Tamura started publishing his manga on Kodansha's Comic Days platform. As of now, the series is still ongoing. On March 12th, Kodansha released the 10th volume of the compiled books for this manga.
The manga also inspired a live-action film that premiered in Japan in November 2024.
