On Friday, the official website for the second season of the anime adaptation of Yukinobu Tatsu's DAN DA DAN manga was updated with a new key visual and climax promotional video. This video unveiled a new cast member who will be joining the series.

The second season of "Super Animeism Turbo" premiered on TV on July 3rd and will be shown in the "Super Animeism Turbo" block on MBS and TBS. Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Hulu are also streaming it as it broadcasts.
Science SARU has credited Fūga Yamashiro and Abel Góngora as directors for the new season of their show. They are both known for their work on the first season as storyboarders and unit directors. Evil Eye, played by Mutsumi Tamura, is among the returning cast members in this new season.
Aina The End sings the introductory tune "Kakumei Dōchū" (On the Way), while WurtS performs the concluding track "Doukashiteru" (Something's Wrong with Them).
On June 6th in North America, GKIDS started showing the first three episodes of the new season of DAN DA DAN : EVIL EYE at movie theaters. There were 1,085 theaters that screened this film and it made an estimated US$3,096,000 in its first weekend. In Asia outside of Japan, Muse showed the film on May 30th. In Europe, ADN screened it on June 7th.
In October 2024, the first season of this anime was released in Japan through Super Animeism TURBO on TBS and MBS. It was also available for streaming worldwide through Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu. Crunchyroll specifically streamed all 12 episodes of this anime series.
This is a story about Momo, a high school girl who comes from a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic. After Momo rescues Okarun from being bullied, they begin talking. However, an argument ensues between them since Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens exist, and Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts exist.
In order to demonstrate their beliefs, Momo visits an old hospital where there have been reports of a UFO sighting while Okarun heads to a rumored haunted tunnel. They are both shocked by the intense paranormal events that occur beyond their understanding. As they face these challenges, Momo discovers her hidden abilities and Okarun gains a supernatural curse. Their love story unfolds as they confront these new dangers together.

Tatsu produces the manga for Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ platform. Viz Media releases the English version of the manga. Both Viz Media and Shueisha's MANGA Plus service offer digital English translations of the manga.
