On Thursday, TO Books declared that they have planned to create an anime adaptation for the light novel series titled "Fire Head's Mercedes and the Waning Moon: The Dungeoneering Feats of a Discarded Vampire Aristocrat" (Kaketa Tsuki no Mercedes: Kyūketsuki no Kizoku ni Tensei Shita kedo Suteraresō nanode Dungeon wo Seiha suru).

J-Novel Club publishes the novel series in English digitally and describes the story:

Reincarnated as a vampire to a noble father and his shunned concubine, Mercedes Grunewald has always known that one day, her father will choose an heir that isn't her. But what will become of her family when that time comes? Her mother has no skills, their maid is old, and Mercedes is but a small child. How will they survive in the world on their own?

It's fortunate that dungeon crawling is accessible for everyone, including children. Mercedes starts her training at a young age due to her family's financial needs. As she comes from a country of vampires, she possesses the ability to grow stronger. Although she faced an unfulfilled life in her previous existence, she won't experience the same fate this time around. Mercedes aims to discover something in the dungeons that will bring her satisfaction.

Fire head launched ( link ) In 2018, there was a series of novels published on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website. TO Books began publishing these novels with illustrations by KeG in 2021. On August 15th, TO Books will release the fourth volume of these novels digitally.

Pochi Edoya launched ( link ) In 2021, the manga version of the popular novel series was released on the website "Comic Corona" by TO Books. On August 15th, they will release the fifth compiled book volume of this manga.
